CATEGORIESAll PAVILION
For our second Individual project for the Integrated Design Studio Module, we were to propose and design a Pavilion type structure for Nottingham's Victoria Embankment, either upon its recreation grounds or anywhere within the site boundary, of which was the belt of the River Trent and The Meadows. Of such a green expanse, complimented by its Memorial Gardens (the darkest shades of green within the image) and the detachment from the city in terms of natural spaces or intervention within its personality, I had wanted to create a largely vernacular structure. This had applied to the structural and aesthetic elements of the site, explained further with the panels, although this had bled deeply into the organic form that had eventually governed my entire development and production processes.
